Trixy Joy Manansala is a second year MPH student from San Jose, California. She went to the University of California, Berkeley for undergraduate school and majored in public health and minored in education. Trixy’s mission in life is to advance the health and well-being of under-served and under-resourced communities. Through a public health education and career, she envisions a world where all individuals and families are provided with the support and resources they need to be healthy and thrive. After getting her MPH, she hopes to continue to address health disparities and maternal and child health issues in Asian and Pacific Islander communities and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. In her spare time, Trixy enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and connecting with her Filipino culture through cooking Filipino food and learning her family’s native language, Kapampangan.
