MPH Student | Community Health Sciences

Amy is a second year graduate student pursuing an MPH in the Community Health Sciences Department. Prior to coming to UCLA, she received her bachelor’s degree in Public Health, focusing on health care administration from San Jose State University. She also brings her background in process improvement and research from her work in the Bay Area. For her MPH fieldwork, Amy interned at the UCLA Semel Institute, where her work was focused on providing resources to youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation, and children and families across Los Angeles County. She is interested in continuing her work to reduce disparities among underserved communities, specifically within the MCH population. Specifically, she hopes on gaining more experience in program evaluation and health care consulting.

Andrea Renteria

MPH Student | Community Health Sciences

Andrea Renteria is from San Pedro, California and attended UCSB to receive a bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Clinical, Counseling and School Psychology. She is interested in adolescent health, reproductive health, and stress and maternal outcomes. Andrea is also the Bixby Program Assistant for the UCLA Bixby Center on Population and Reproductive Health. On her free time she likes to bake, picnic, hike and loves to relax with a good word search puzzle!

Annalea Forrest

MPH Student | Community Health Sciences

Annalea Forrest is an indigenous MSW/MPH student researching comprehensive violence prevention in undeserved communities through the framework of anti-shame, community response, and holistic wellness. They also conduct researchas a Graduate Student Researcher in the field of Built Environment and Cultural Responsiveness at the UCLA Semel Institute for the 2020-202. In their free time, they like to create art, music, and facilitate healing arts groups for community wellness.
