Amy is a second year graduate student pursuing an MPH in the Community Health Sciences Department. Prior to coming to UCLA, she received her bachelor’s degree in Public Health, focusing on health care administration from San Jose State University. She also brings her background in process improvement and research from her work in the Bay Area. For her MPH fieldwork, Amy interned at the UCLA Semel Institute, where her work was focused on providing resources to youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation, and children and families across Los Angeles County. She is interested in continuing her work to reduce disparities among underserved communities, specifically within the MCH population. Specifically, she hopes on gaining more experience in program evaluation and health care consulting.
